Cell by Cassandra Medley

VICTOR LIRIO was recently on Tom Morris’s directing team for the critically acclaimed world premiere production of Dr Semmelweis at Bristol Old Vic starring Oscar winner Mark Rylance (co-production with National Theatre and Sonia Friedman Productions). He directed the London premiere of Adam Rapp’s Red Light Winter at The Turbine Theatre and was recently resident director for Islander in New York, a production transfer from Southwark Playhouse (London). Other UK theatre: Edward Allan Baker’s North of Providence and Dolores (live production broadcast; Bristol Arts Channel); Her Naked Skin (Circomedia, Bristol); The Snow Queen (Redgrave Theatre, Bristol).

Regional: Long Season (associate director; Huntington Theatre, Boston); Sarah Ruhl’s The Oldest Boy (Miami Theater Center); Neil Labute’s The Mercy Seat (The SandBox Theatre, Miami). Concerts: Lea Salonga (Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Café Carlyle, Jazz at Lincoln Center); Suites by Sondheim (Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center).

Radio drama: Jenny Stephens’s Jefferson 37 (Christchurch Studios, Bristol); Cassandra Medley's Cell starring Condola Rashad (Playing on Air, NYC). He was founding artistic director of Diverse City Theater.
