Walter Bobbie recently directed the UK premier of Christopher Durang’s Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike, and Steve Martin’s The Underpants for The Old Globe. New York productions include Venus in Fur, Golden Age, School for Lies, White Christmas, Chicago, The Submission, Footloose, The Savannah Disputation, New Jerusalem, High Fidelity, The Marriage of Bette and Boo, Sweet Charity, Twentieth Century, and Bright Star.

Mr. Bobbie served as Artistic Director of City Center’s acclaimed Encores! As an actor, his Broadway career spans the original cast of Broadway’s Grease, the 1992 revival of Guys & Dolls and MTC’s recent Broadway revival of Shaw’s Saint Joan.

Mr. Bobbie received his MA in Theatre from DC’s Catholic University. He is the recipient of Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Tony Awards.
